Monarch & Jennie Lakes Wilderness

The rugged Monarch Wilderness dramatically rises from 2000 foot elevation at the South Fork of the Kings River to over 11,000 foot evelation at Hogback Peak. The 10,500 acre Jennie Lakes Wilderness lies in the southeast corner of the Hume Lake Ranger District and is adjacent to the back country wilderness of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. 1991
