The Wilderness takes in portions of the Mendocino, Shasta-Trinity, Six Rivers National Forests, the Bureau of Land Management, and the Arcata Resource Area. Elevations range from 2,000 feet in Cottonwood Creek to about 8,000 feet on Yolla Bolly peaks. 2000
